Home of the John Smith’s Grand National, Aintree is one of the world’s most famous racecourses. With over two miles of luscious green racetrack, and horse racing’s biggest stars taking to this jumps only course, racing here is always a sight to behold at one of Aintree’s six other racedays outside of the Grand National meeting.
Completed in 2007, the International Equestrian Centre was designed specifically to provide a venue for Equestrianism, and is now a showpiece in itself. Set up in the inspiring location of Aintree Racecourse, home of the John Smith's Grand National, Aintree International Equestrian Centre boasts some of the very best facilities, not only for horse based events, but for others, such as the largest inddor antiques and collectors fair in the North of England.

Getting There
Aintree Racecourse is located on the A59, just one mile from the M57 and M58, which link the M62 and M6. Follow the A59 to Liverpool and the AA signs as you approach the racecourse for routes to the car parks.
By Rail
The nearest mainline station to Aintree is Liverpool Lime Street. Liverpool Central Station is just a short walk from Lime Street, and from here you can catch a train to Aintree. Trains depart from Liverpool Central every 7 and a half minutes during the John Smith's Grand National, and every fifteen minutes on racedays outside of the Grand National. It takes fifteen minutes to get to Aintree on the train, and Aintree Station is directly opposite the racecourse.
By Bus

By Road
From South Leave M6 at J21A and join M62 west. Leave M62 at J6 to join M57, follow signs for races.
From North Leave M6 at J26 and join M58, follow signs for races.
