London's Biggest Antiques & Collectors Fair
Sees Growing Trade & Consumer Confidence
With record dealer bookings and a growing consumer interest, the Alexandra Palace Antiques, Art Deco, 20th Century & Collectors Fair is fast returning back to it heyday of 10 years ago.
"The increase, show on show, of both dealers attending and the trade/public buying is a good indicator that consumer confidence is returning fast" comments Peter Barrows, Chairman of Nelson Events Ltd, the organisers. "Visiting several other fairs of various sizes, across the country, it is also evident that the attendance to these types of event is becoming healthier, although, converting browsers to buyers is still a hard task" he added.
The fair, which has been held at Alexandra Palace for over 25 years, attracts several thousand visitors, four times a year, coming to see the 600 plus stalls of everything from furniture to fireplaces, paintings to pottery, ceramics to coins and an awful lot more.
The next fair, on Sunday 25th April, sees celebrity auctioneer, James Lewis of Bamfords Auctioneers, join the team to manage the complimentary 'antique roadshow' appraisals & valuations feature, between 11am and 3pm. "Alexandra Palace is one of the highlights of the antiques fair calendar and I am proud to be part of this great event" James stated.
The fair opens on Sunday at 8.00am to trade buyers (entrance £10) and 9.30am for the general public (entrance £5), closing at 4.30pm.

About Nelson Events Ltd
Starting in 1999 with the Gresham's Aniques & Art Fair in Holt, Norfolk, Nelson Events Ltd has grown to become one of the major antiques, collectables, 20th century and art deco fair organisers in the UK.
In 2004, Nelson Events took over the management of the Newmarket Antiques, Collectables & 20th Century Fair at Newmarket Racecourse, Rowley Mile. This has now been built up to one of the largest events in the Suffolk/Cambridge region, being regularly oversubscribed by eager dealers. In 2010, due to dealer demand, Nelson Events is adding a fifth date to the line up.
In 2007 Nelson Events were asked to restart one of the UK's premier antiques & collectables event at Alexandra Palace, North London. From their first fair in April 2008, they have been steadily rebuilding this event to similar proportions of it's heyday, several years ago.
2010 saws the launch of the Warwickshire Antiques, Collectables, 20th Century and Art Deco Fair, at the WEC, Leamington Spa. With four dates and over 200 stalls/outside pitches, it is a dealer sell out and a public success.
